Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about half arm wax.

A typical half arm wax appointment takes about twenty to thirty minutes, including consultation and brief pre-wax prep. If you need both arms or additional services, plan for a longer appointment. Arrive with hair about quarter-inch long for best results.

Gently exfoliate two days before your appointment and avoid heavy creams or tanning the day of. Clean, dry skin allows wax to adhere better. If you take retinoids or have sensitive skin, inform us to adjust treatment and prevent irritation.

Some discomfort is normal, especially during the first waxing, but our experienced technicians use quick techniques and calming products to minimize pain. Regular waxing typically reduces sensitivity over time. Ask about topical numbing if you’re particularly anxious or have low pain tolerance.

Most clients see regrowth in three to six weeks, depending on individual hair cycles. Repeated waxing can weaken follicles and slow regrowth. To maintain smooth arms, schedule regular appointments every four to six weeks, or as your hair returns.

We avoid waxing over sunburned, irritated, or broken skin. For sensitive skin, we perform a consultation and patch test, use gentler wax and soothing aftercare. If you’ve recently used strong exfoliants or retinoids, inform us to prevent adverse reactions.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise and sun exposure for twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Keep the area clean, apply a soothing lotion or aloe, and exfoliate gently after forty-eight to seventy-two hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Contact us for any prolonged irritation or concerns.
