Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about sideburn wax.

Most sideburn wax appointments take about 10–20 minutes, depending on hair amount and desired shape. We include consultation and precise shaping; please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin for a faster, more comfortable service.

Wax is performed with gentle techniques, proper skin prep, and soothing products to minimize irritation. We patch-test sensitive skin, advise avoiding retinoids before treatment, and provide aftercare to calm redness and reduce sensitivity.

Most clients rebook sideburn waxing every three to six weeks as hair grows back, though timing varies by individual. Regular waxing encourages finer regrowth and easier maintenance; we’ll recommend an interval based on your hair and skin.

Waxing can help remove hairs that trap under the skin and, with proper exfoliation and technique, can reduce ingrown hairs over time. We include guidance and treatments for prone skin, but severe cases may need medical consultation.

If you’re using retinol, acids, or recently had a chemical peel, wait until skin has recovered before waxing. Those treatments increase sensitivity and risk. Tell your esthetician about medications or facial procedures so we can advise a safe timeline.

Before: arrive with clean, makeup-free skin, avoid exfoliating or using strong actives for 48–72 hours, and skip tanning. After: apply soothing balm, avoid heat and heavy sweating for 24–48 hours, and gently exfoliate after a couple days.
