Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about upper leg wax.

Most upper leg wax appointments take 20–40 minutes depending on hair length, skin sensitivity, and whether complementary services like exfoliation or moisturizing are included. Your esthetician will assess and advise before starting.

Clean, exfoliated skin with hair about quarter-inch long gives best results. Avoid heavy creams, sun exposure, retinoids, or tanning 48–72 hours prior. Arrive with comfortable clothing and mention any skin conditions or medications to your esthetician.

Some sensitivity is normal, especially on first waxing, but discomfort is brief. Our estheticians use calming techniques and quick strips to reduce pain. Regular waxing typically lessens sensitivity over time as hair becomes finer.

Most clients see smooth results for three to six weeks before regrowth begins. Individual cycles vary based on hormones, hair growth rate, and aftercare; scheduling every 4–6 weeks keeps legs consistently smooth.

You can shower after a few hours using lukewarm water and gentle cleansers. Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise, or heavy sweating for 24 hours to reduce irritation and risk of clogged follicles or ingrown hairs.

Exfoliate gently 48 hours after waxing, keep skin moisturized with non-comedogenic lotions, avoid tight clothing immediately after your appointment, and use topical exfoliants or recommended treatments to prevent and treat ingrown hairs.
